Laurence Saunders, lead actor in Bigview Media's 'Wounded', recently sat down to discuss his role and his time working with writer directors Joseph Baker and Tom Large. In the interview, Saunders explains the challenges of playing a soldier returning from Afghanistan, the approach he took to working with a first-time child actor and his experience working with Bigview Media for the second time.
Bigview Media's first film, 'And Darren', has recently been released online in conjunction with the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. The film, completed in 2009, screened in London at the Curzon cinema on Shaftsbury Avenue prior to a DVD release. The film is now available to watch in return for an optional donation to the cancer chairty and the BVM Independent Film Fund.
The poster for 'Wounded', written and directed by Joseph Baker and Tom Large and produced in conjunction with Strong Oak Pictures, has just been released and this is the first place you can see it. With photography by Kris Luckin and design by Jack Hennigan the poster will be seen across promotional artwork for 'Wounded'.
Actor, comedian and presenter Les Dennis will be attending the Marbella International Film Festival (MIFF) 2011 along with the Bigview Media team. Les plays the role of Barry in 'Wounded', which will be showing at the festival on the 14th October.
Les is a keen supporter of independent film in the UK having appeared in 'Waiting in Rhyme' in 2010. He has been working with 'Wounded' writer directors, Joseph Baker and Tom Large, for the past couple of years and they were delighted to finally see Les on one of their sets. Baker recently commented, 'Les is a fantastic actor to work with. He has a combination of natural style but with an ability for fantastic comic timing.'

On 22 April 2012 one of our producers at Bigview, Elizabeth Brown, will be running one of the great British sporting events - the Virgin London Marathon! The course is a gruelling 26 miles and 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall and Lizzie is putting herself through all of that for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF are an absolutely brilliant charity which exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and it's complications, it is the world's leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research. Lizzie's training is well underway so we thought we'd do our bit to help with the fundraising.

Bigview Media recently announced that 'Fly Trap', the 2009 drama starring Laurence Saunders, Luke Kempner and Pamela McIntyre, is due to be released on DVD and On Demand. The film, which received producer and critic recommendation and screened at the Marbella International Film Festival 2010, will be released with special features including a director's commentary and deleted scenes.
'Wounded' has been short-listed into official competition in the feature film category at Marbella International Film Festival (MIFF) 2011. The drama tells the story of an injured soldier back from Afghanistan who goes on the run with a troubled young boy from an abusive family. The film stars Laurence Saunders (Fly Trap), Marc Baylis (London River), John Alford (London's Burning), Lucy Cudden (Chemical Wedding) and Les Dennis (Extras).
Writer Directors Joseph Baker and Tom Large are returning to the festival for the second year running after 'Fly Trap', also produced by Bigview Media, screened at the festival in 2010. 'Marbella is a growing film festival and the perfect place for us to premiere Wounded' commented Tom Large.

'And Darren', the first feature film that Bigview Media produced, was released in May 2011. The release supports cancer charities across the UK including the Helen Rollason foundation, who we will be supporting during our first six months of release.
The film tells the story of Darren Hampton, who, at the age of 24, is diagnosed with terminal cancer. With his camcorder in hand, Darren decides to spend his last months with friends, reliving old memories and creating new ones.

Just before snow covered the south of England, we completed filming on 'Wounded', our latest feature from writer directors Joseph Baker and Tom large.
The shoot has seen our crew brave freezing temperatures at the end of Clacton on Sea Pier and in rural Sussex, doubling for Afghanistan. The intense shoot also covered various London locations, Britains newest and largest service station and a multitude of different modes of transport ranging from coaches to ice cream vans.

Bigview Media are delighted to announce that 'Wounded' has won Best Feature Film at the prestigious Marbella International Film Festival 2011. The film faced stiff competition from features including Brian Kohne's 'Get a Job' and Quinn Saunders' 'Cherry'. The festival was attended by all of the Bigview team, including director of photography Kris Luckin, along with stars of the film Marc Baylis and Les Dennis. In an interview with local Spanish media, Dennis commented that it was the first time he had seen the film and he was 'absoloutely thrilled with it'.
Writer directors Joseph Baker and Tom Large picked up the award from Jose Luis Hernandez, head of tourism for the region and one of the key sponsors of the festival. The directors expressed their gratitude to cast and crew for their hard work on the project before producer Richard J. Danum thanked the festival for awarding the film the top prize.

As a graduate from Guildford School of Acting Elizabeth has had a career in film on both sides of the camera. Her first film-producing credit came on Bigview's first feature in 2008 and since then, along with Richard, she has guided the company through three feature films in 16 months.
Richard moved into the film industry after a law career. A graduate from Cambridge, Richard worked in London and Milan before joining Bigview Media. Richard has quickly built up a list of film credits including producing Bigivew's last three films. Alongside his responsibilities as a producer, Richard also deals with legal work at Bigview.
Joseph and Tom have been working together for nearly three years. Their feature film projects with Bigview include 'Fly Trap', 'Millbrook' and 'Wounded'. As founder members of Bigview, Joseph and Tom aim to develop both their own projects and projects with new writers and directors.
